You will be aware of the latest developments regarding the government's response to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Last night the Coach House Leadership team met together to discuss the implications and how 'doing church' could look like in various forms.
As you will be aware, re-imagining something that has been done that has been been stable for so long is no easy task.
We need to be aware of these unprecedented times however, and if we can do things to maintain personal safety then we should do so.
With this in mind we have taken the very difficult decision of stopping all church main gatherings until the situation becomes clearer. This is in line with government and Public Health England directives.
We have not been given a spirit of fear, but of boldness, strength and sound mind, therefore, please do not panic or give in to anything that robs us of peace of mind.
We serve the Prince of Peace and it is important to keep speaking this truth into your and each others lives.
This Sunday (22nd) we have designated a day of prayer and fasting for the situation. The main church and hub will be open for reflective and petitional prayer throughout the day. Be aware of social distancing but please use the space to pray.
If you are in the ‘at risk’ category, it is imperative that you remain away from group meetings for your and others safety.
We propose creating a safe space at church in the Hub for homegroups to meet. This allows us to meet together in smaller numbers and employ social distancing as required by guide lines.
This will necessitate different nights being used for each homegroup, but allows for one space to be kept clean, minimising risk and keeping homes safe.
We will look into this to see if it is a viable solution.
Perhaps prayer becomes more important now in the circumstances. This will continue on a Thursday night with appropriate social distancing.
Messages will be uploaded to our new church website which has gone live this week, and also sent out via our Email newsletters.
All external use of Church has now ceased operation.
Tiny Talk is suspended, Catch-22 meetings have also been suspended.
We have delayed the starting of our Youth work and also the proposed Little Sparks - parent and toddler group - until such time as appropriate.
We will continue to monitor developments and keep everyone updated of any changes.
Be assured that Pastoral care remains a priority and visits will continue as appropriate. Other forms of communication are available for those where isolation is required. Please feel free to contact a member of the leadership team if you require anything. It is vital that we continue to communicate
Most of all, continue to pray for each other at this time. We do not live by fear and our trust is in the Lord Jesus Christ, Our Saviour and Lord.
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Stay safe, stay well and remain Blessed
With love from,
Coach House Church Leadership Team
